Deputy Ambassador Trevor Lewis of the British Embassy in Manila affirmed the United Kingdom’s dedication to support scientific collaboration with its partners in the ASEAN region in his speech at the Science for International Development Conference last 18 September 2012 at the Marriott Hotel, Pasay City. He said, “The British government strongly believes in the importance of science in achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals in Southeast Asia and have just confirmed the commitment to strengthen the UK science and technology networks across the world.”
