PCHRD, DOH, SMART name winners of #ThinkOpenHealth at 5th eHealth Summit
PASAY CITY, Metro Manila- The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), Department of Health (DOH), and SMART Communications named winners of #ThinkOpenHealth at the 5th Philippine eHealth Summit on 3 June 2013 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The #ThinkOpenHealth was held on 16-17 April 2016 at the Asian Institute Management (AIM) Conference Center. “It is the very first Hackathon event organized by the PCHRD, DOH, and SMART Communications to inspire innovations that will help improve the local health sector through ICT solutions,” PCHRD Executive Director Jaime Montoya said.

Among the teams introduced during the Summit were three Hackathon winners namely Quantum Hackers, Chunky Monkeys, and Jeepers Creepers (See their projects). Teams who won the special awards such as Kembot, Kapit-Bisig, Clutch, and Blastoise Brigade were also presented.
Team Kembot received SHINE OS+ Award with their PediaHub, a plugin for Shine OS that digitizes the process of patient to pedia consultation, thus enabling easier patient health consultation and profiling.
Team Kapit-Bisig won the DOST-PCHRD Award with their Kapit-Bisig app, a facility inventory and supply planning module allowing managers at different facilities to manage drugs, supplies, equipment, and processes with efficiency.
Team Clutch bagged the DOH Award with their Ready Steth Go app, a multimedia platform facilitating patient-doctor appointments through an online application, thus paving way for paperless and hassle-free medical consultation.
Likewise, Team Blastoise Brigade acquired the Student Special Award with their Presky, a cloud-based prescription management system solving problem of resources potentially becoming scarce through collaboration between doctors and pharmaceutical companies.
Teams Kembot, Kapit-Bisig, and Clutch received P10,000 while Team Blastoise Brigade received P5,000.
