Nomination period for Millennium Technology Prize 2008 is closing on the 1st of October 2007. The world’s largest technology prize, at one million euro level, is awarded for an innovation which improves the quality of human life and encourages sustainable development.
Candidates can work in any technological field and anywhere in the world. Nominations for the Millennium Technology Prize can be submitted by scientific academies, universities, research institutions and high technology companies and institutions. Both individuals and groups engaged in research and development activity can be nominated. Award winners are selected on the basis of nomination. The names of the four finalists will be announced in April 2008. The winner will be announced and awarded at an award ceremony in Helsinki on 11 June 2008. Nominations must be sent by conventional mail and received by the Millennium Prize Foundation by 01 October 2007. |
