We are proudly introducing the new PCHRD Library powered by an open-source content management system [cms], updating content has never been this easy and fun. All content are now stored in a database making everything searcheable. Interface is now conforming with the main PCHRD website and can easily be changed using ready templates. Latest local health-watch news are always available at front making it easily accessible for everyone.

This new site is a part of our improvement of services both for internal and external clients. Please take time to use and evaluate this new site, navigation is available at your left side where our new sections and menus are.

The Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines (MAHLAP) is holding a National Congress and Seminar-Workshop on the theme: “The Expanding Knowledgebase Competencies of Health Sciences Libraries and Librarians” on February 28-29, 2007 at Hotel Kimberly, P. Gil St., Manila.

Libraries’ nowadays are not just regarded as information repositories and providers but its contribution in the modern techniques of researching, collaborating, and building knowledge emerge is already accepted and recognized.  Despite the technological advances on techniques on information dissemination, the indispensable role of librarians as information catalyst is still inevitable.
