The Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) will open a few positions for APEC Young Scientist Training (YST) Program at the postdoctoral fellow level in Theoretical Physics and related fields. The YST Program was launched by APCTP in 2015 under the APEC Policy Partnership in Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI). The Program is for APEC physicists who are at an early age of their research career and provides the opportunity for post-doctoral researchers from APEC member economies to work at the APCTP for a period of up to two (2) years. The APCTP offers APEC YST fellows an ideal environment for research and potential collaborations with in-house senior academics, faculty and visiting scholars from Korea and abroad.
Funding is initially available for one (1) year, renewable for second year depending on the research performance and availability of resources for the program. An annual salary, including severance pay is within the range of KRW 32,500,000 to KRW 40,000,000 depending on the research experience and qualification. In addition to the salary, some research expenses and part of relocation cost, KRW 3,000,000/ year will also be provided. The starting date is expected to be on 01 November 2018.
Please submit to ITCU-DOST all the required documents for application not later than 03 August 2018 for evaluation and onward endorsement to APCTP.
