Scholarships, Thesis/Dissertation and Research Fellowship Assistance

A critical pool of health researchers is central to the continued creation of knowledge and technologies for health development. To build a pool of competent health researchers, we provide scholarship grants for masters and doctorate degrees, thesis and dissertation grants, and research fellowships for beginning researchers.

Awards

We reward excellence in research. PCHRD, in collaboration with private institutions, awards exemplary studies to encourage seasoned researchers to continue generating word-class work, and inspire beginning researchers to aspire for excellence.

Outstanding Health Research Award (OHRA)

OHRA or Parangal Saliksik Pangkalusugan recognizes the work of an individual or group that has been able to demonstrate the link between research and utilization. This link should be evident in the absorption or use of the research outputs in the health delivery system. The award is given in two levels: the biomedical, and health services research categories.

PCHRD-Gruppo Medica Award for Outstanding Research in Herbal Medicine

The PCHRD-Gruppo Medica Award gives recognition to innovative research work on herbal medicine by undergraduate pharmacy and chemistry students. It is awarded to studies which show potential for practical or commercial application.


Regional Researcher of the Year Award

The Regional Researcher of the Year Award aims to promote and maintain research interest and productivity among regional researchers in the country. It seeks to promote relevance and excellence in health research, maintain and enhance research productivity and enhance recognition of research contribution to health delivery.

Research Management and Development

PCHRD translates the Health S&T Plan to knowledge and technologies needed for health development. This is made possible through research projects implemented by a network of institutions through PCHRD funding. PCHRD provides selected researches financial assistance that covers personnel, equipment, and operational expenses.
